Missions
As a Chef de Rang, you are responsible for managing your section and ensuring a professional and attentive service, from welcoming guests through to payment.
Welcoming guests and looking after them throughout the service.
Presenting and explaining the menus and advising guests on food and beverages.
Taking orders and ensuring their correct transmission to the kitchen and bar.
Independently managing your section from guest arrival through to payment.
Providing fast, precise and professional service, even during busy periods.
Preparing, clearing and resetting tables.
Coordinating the service with the Commis de Rang, who assist you with the various service tasks.
Working efficiently with the kitchen, bar and the entire front-of-house team.
Assisting with the closing and tidying of the restaurant at the end of service.
Ensuring a consistently high level of service quality and guest satisfaction.
Work Organisation
The work is organised on a split-shift basis, with:
Morning: breakfast service, including clearing and resetting tables.
Evening: restaurant service, with full responsibility for your section from welcoming guests through to payment.
Profil
We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience as a Chef de Rang or in a similar position within the hospitality industry.
Is independent in managing their section and comfortable taking responsibility.
Works quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Is able to remain calm and maintain a positive and professional attitude in stressful situations and during busy periods.
Is organised, reliable, dynamic and detail-oriented.
Has an excellent sense of service and a strong guest-oriented approach.
Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with Commis de Rang, the kitchen and the bar.
Is flexible and comfortable working split shifts.
Languages
German: mandatory
English: mandatory
French and other languages: an advantage
Conditions
Employment contract in accordance with the Swiss Collective Labour Agreement for the Hospitality Industry (L-GAV).
13th salary paid monthly after successful completion of the probationary period.
End-of-season bonus based on the achievement of defined objectives.
Two days off per week, whenever possible scheduled consecutively.
