YES? Then our CapEnglish Language internship programme is an ideal opportunity for you.

As an English Language Assistant you will be working in a French private school to help the French teaching team bring English alive to young kids and/or teenagers (4-18yrs old)

The programme offers:

  • 3 or 6 months Convention de Stage (internship contract); starts late Sept/Oct or Jan

  • Accommodation with a vetted host family, your own room.

  • Meals are provided

  • 50% of public transport to and from work reimbursed

  • 670€ gross salary per month

  • Supportive teaching team

  • Transfer from local French airport/train station to your host family

  • Eligibility for future teaching vacancies with CapEnglish

  • Improved spoken French guaranteed

  • Certification of completion (Attestation)

Missions

The key duties are:

• Teaching English to school children in France

• Support the teaching team in daily teaching tasks and activities

• Engage in school activities and events

• Offer language support and teaching to host family

Profil

Requirements:

  • 18-27yrs old

  • Happy to live with host family (compulsory)

  • Enjoy working with young kids

  • Speak English as a first language with ability to make cultural references

  • Adaptable, team player with excellent communication skills

  • Intermediate French (B1/B2 level)

  • Eligible for an internship & working in France (non EU member may need to apply for a VLS-TS long stay working visa). https://www.welcometofrance.com/en/fiche/long-stay-visa-equivalent-to-a-residence-permit-vls-ts It is compulsory for your uni to sign the internship agreement (Convention de Stage).

Provided your university will still sign your internship agreement, yes. It is compulsory for your uni to sign the internship agreement.

You will need to have at least a B1 level of French and able to hold/follow a conversation.

Yes, however, if you are doing an internship before or after (in any EU country) you may need to apply for a visa.

No, but you do need to have some experience working with young kids (pref groups of kids)

Living with a CapEnglish selected host family is an important part of the programme.
