Essential skills

Postgraduate degree: MSc in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science or another related subject
Relevant experience (2 years or more) in a similar position, working in surveillance or observational epidemiological studies
Software: Proficiency in R and Rmarkdown, including packages for data management (e.g. tidyr, dplyr and gpplot2)
Knowledge of statistics as applied to epidemiological studies
Knowledge of epidemiological studies and methods, especially those relating to case-control and cohort study designs
Knowledge and experience of data management of large and complex epidemiological datasets
Knowledge of data science and artificial intelligence and awareness of their implications for epidemiological studies
Excellent English level (minimum C1)

Desirable skills

Experience of working with GitHub
Experience in creating R functions or packages
Experience of working on multicentre studies
Experience of working on European on public health projects
Experience of vaccine effectiveness, evaluation of surveillance systems, burden of disease or vaccination impact studies
Knowledge of other statistical packages (STATA, SAS)
