We are currently looking for a Senior HR Officer to support our Human Resources team in Geneva.

Activity rate: 100% (40 hours / week)
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior HR Officer will provide essential support and ensure business continuity for key HR functions during the Deputy Head of HR’s maternity leave. The scope of the Senior HR officer’s role will though be limited to part of her responsibilities, including only the following: supporting the Head of HR with 1) the end-to-end international and HQ recruitment cycle of a number of positions and 2) the development of key Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives.
Missions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
RECRUITMENT SUPPORT
The Senior HR Officer will support the full end-to-end recruitment cycle for both HQ and field-based roles. Responsibilities include:
Collaborate closely with hiring managers to proactively identify and document upcoming staffing needs for designated country missions and HQ departments.
Conducting initial screening of applications and shortlisting candidates in collaboration with hiring managers.
Organizing and scheduling technical tests, interviews, and providing support to interview panels.
Compiling comprehensive reference check reports for selected candidates.
Extending job offers and coordinating the smooth handover to the admin and onboarding teams.
Ensuring all recruitment activities are conducted in strict adherence to IMPACT HR recruitment standards, organizational policy and best practices.
Regular updates of internal recruitment tracking tools, and preparation of and participation in weekly recruitment meetings with relevant counterparts.
LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT (L&D) SUPPORT
The Senior HR Officer will support the Learning & Development function of the HR team to maintain key ongoing initiatives. This work will be done in coordination with the rest of the HR team members and includes among others the following projects:
New Onboarding program - 1st session
Competency framework soft roll out
Onboarding program for Grade 2 and 3
CONTRIBUTION TO STRATEGIC AND STRUCTURAL PROJECTS ON NEEDS-BASIS
The Senior HR Officer is expected to contribute to other projects of a structural nature on an ad-hoc basis. This may include supporting departmental and cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving overall HR processes, increasing efficiency, and strengthening organizational systems.
Profil
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
HR / L&D EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated understanding of the full end-to-end recruitment cycle, preferably within the INGO or humanitarian sector.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to and support Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives and performance management cycles.
Knowledge of HR procedures, policies, and best practices.
OPERATIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a demanding environment.
Ability to proactively identify talent needs and correctly assess candidate profiles based on strategic staffing and organizational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to apply change management principles to ensure L&D initiatives are strategically implemented and effectively adopted by stakeholders.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
For this position, gross salary between 5’300 CHF and 5’430 CHF monthly (before income tax). NB - IMPACT salaries are strictly determined by our salary grid depending on the grade of the position and the level of education and experience of staff. A contribution to medical insurance of 489 CHF per month is already included in the salary figure.
