    Mission

    Position Overview

    Localisation: Paris, France or Graz, Austria.

    As a Senior Backend Engineer at CarCutter, you will be joining the global #1 visual AI editing and optimization solution for the automotive industry, used by customers from all around the world. Due to our steady growth, we are now expanding our passionate & motivated CarCutter team.

    Multiple APIs feed our backend (both in Python), triggering image workflows and calls to our computer vision services, using SQL databases and message queues for image management, and delivering results to customer systems. Essential for us is a smooth flow of images, the continuous operation of our container-based services under Linux, as well as the monitoring and improvement of our scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS). Our team works with industry-standard practices of source code management, test pipelines, and CI/CD.

    • Backend software development

    • Improvement and operation of our cloud computing environment (AWS)

    • Improve automated testing (unit testing, end-2-end testing)

    • Design and implement flexible solutions according to customer requirements

    • Focus on DevOps to make our engineers computer vision solutions available to all customers

    • Working as part of a young, dynamic team in a start-up environment

    Profil

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in (backend) software development

    • Expertise in Python, and hands-on knowledge of Linux (system, networking)

    • Experience with SQL databases and queue-based processing

    • Good understanding of industry practices: architectures, protocols, containers, security

    • Experience with developing, operating, and monitoring cloud solutions (preferably on AWS)

    • Practical knowledge on proper source code management, documentation, test pipelines, and CI/CD

    • Team player with proactive approach and high sensibility for quality

    • English skills on a working proficiency level
