Description

Founded in 2014, Sim&Cure is French digital start-up focused on improving neurovascular treatments of cerebral aneurysm with a proprietary software suite. The Sim&Size™ software is a Class II medical device with CE mark and FDA clearance that has already been used to treat more than 10,000+ patients in 500+ hospitals in the world.

Through several modules, Sim&Size™ is a software suite that provides to the physician a 3D visualization of medical images and a computational model of neurovascular implantable medical devices (IMDs). The therapeutic strategy is the most important step of this disease treatment and Sim&Size™ is now part of it by being efficient, safe, and reproducible. Computational modeling of specific devices in the anatomy of a patient helps the physician to achieve the intended outcome of the intervention.

Missions

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, pragmatic Head of Finance to take full ownership of our financial operations and support our international growth. You won’t just be "overseeing" spreadsheets; you will be the co-pilot of our business growth, ensuring our financial health while streamlining our processes.

This is a "360°" role: you manage the strategy, but you also master the execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Control & Reporting

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes

  • Coordinate financial data consolidation between our French HQ and US international subsidiary.

  • Drive the budgeting process and provide accurate monthly gap analysis (Budget vs. Actual).

  • Ensure timely and clear reporting to the CEO and Board.

  • Manage and improve financial process (closing, reporting, billing and collection)

2. Cash Management & Funding

  • Closely monitor cash flow and optimize working capital.

  • Manage relationships with banks, public institutions (BPI and Europe), and investors.

  • Prepare financial documentation for potential future fundraising or non-dilutive funding.

  • Manage and optimize Crédit Impôt Recherche (CIR)

3. Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Optimize our internal tools to automate low-value tasks. Current stack : Pennylane, Odoo, Salesforce, Agicap, QuickBooks, Payhawk, Payfit and Deel.

  • Liaise with external auditors (Commissaires aux Comptes) and tax advisors.

  • Review commercial contracts and ensure legal/regulatory compliance in the Medtech space (IP, data privacy).

4. Business Partnering

  • Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to track KPIs and optimize ROI.

  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

5.Team Management

  • Management of 2 teams members : Accountant and Accounting Manager

Profil

Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience. A mix of Audit (Big 4) and a first operational experience in a fast-growing Startup/SME is highly preferred (Medical Device or Software environment is a huge +)

Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business School.

Languages: Fluent in French and English (daily interaction with international subsidiaries/partners).
