SWM is looking for a Master Data Quality & Operations Lead.
Mission
In this central role, you will be responsible for the integration and management of global product data and specifications, acting as the primary gatekeeper for Supplier, Customer, and Product master data within the ERP and QIS systems. Working closely with the Data Management team you will lead and with business partners, you will ensure seamless data integration across business units, customers, and technology platforms, while maintaining strict adherence to data governance policies and compliance with company standards.
Position can be based at any SWM site, with a preference for our production facilities — ideally in France (Quimperlé, or alternatively Le Mans and Saint-Girons), Poland (Stryków), the United States (Ancram, Prosperity), or Brazil (Santanésia). Luxembourg or Atlanta may also be considered.
Main Responsiblities
Data Governance :
Lead and manage product specifications, ensuring data stewardship and governance across ERP and QIS systems.
Harmonize, standardize, and maintain global data management processes, with a strong focus on data quality and consistency.
Translate customer specifications into operational and system requirements, ensuring alignment with bills of materials and product setup processes.
Guarantee product compliance and customer satisfaction through accurate and complete data representation.
Design and maintain robust data migration solutions across multiple sites and systems.
Ensure adherence to internal data governance policies and maintain up-to-date documentation, including customer and internal specifications.
Create and manage commercialization-ready specification data, ensuring completeness for all product attributes, including packaging and labeling.
Develop and maintain data related to trial technologies and product specifications.
Troubleshoot data-related issues in collaboration with IT and the Master Data team; identify and implement innovative solutions to improve master data quality.
Leadership :
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Master Data team, aligning data practices with business objectives and IT systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, Product Compliance & Stewardship) to define key data elements and implement effective processes and system controls.
Monitor and report data management performance and key metrics to stakeholders in a timely and structured manner.
Profil
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 4–5 years of experience in Production, R&D, Quality Assurance, or Master Data/ERP systems management.
Strong working knowledge of ERP and QIS platforms, with a focus on data governance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus, Portuguese is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of product data lifecycle management, including setup, validation, and maintenance of specifications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex data and propose actionable solutions.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage tasks across multiple sites and coordinate global initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
