    Mission

    General Context

    The "Cables and Materials" department is looking for an R&D project manager for the development of the offshore electrical grid. Reporting to the Subsea Technologies Group Leader, your analytical and synthesizing skills will enable you to carry out projects related to the Offshore electrical network for the integration of renewable energy sources (wind, tidal). On a day-to-day basis, your role will be to coordinate internal resources and activities for a specific project and to assist the group leader with other projects. Technical contributions and tasks are also expected.

     

    Objectives / Missions

    • Personally undertake tasks in the areas of offshore mechanical engineering and tecno-economic assessment.

    • Oversee technical development such as mechanical/electrical studies/testing activities.

    • Contribute to building partnerships and roadmaps with industrial and academic partners.

    • Contribute to the definition of the business model with the department manager and the Technical Business Developer.

    • Participate in proposal for funding with the head of collaborative projects and the group leader.

    Profil

    Candidate Profile

    You will have a degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Comprehensive Engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering, and ideally have a 5-year experience in Offshore/Subsea. You have a real taste for multidisciplinary technical work and innovation.

     

    • You will have a good knowledge of electrical engineering and/or the operation of offshore wind farms.

    • You are able to build strong long-term partnerships and industrial networks.

    • You will be able to take initiatives, make proposals and have excellent communication skills.

    • Fluency in English - both written and spoken.

    • Fluency in French is an asset.
