We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biometrics and Data Intelligence Team Leader to join our innovative teams, to rapidly and cost-efficiently bring farmes sustainable crop protection tools with novel modes of action based on micropeptides.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in extracting insights from complex scientific data and in guiding our scientific efforts through the effective visualization and interpretation of agricultural, biological and chemical data.

The mission of the Biometrics&Data Intelligence team is to unlock the value of data and empower decision-makers by providing the right tools, expertise in addition to data-driven insights and recommendations.

The overall team's responsibilities include:

·       Model and analyze Data: the team explores, analyzes, and interprets data

·       Build reporting & visualization: the team develops dashboards and reports

·       Build and maintain datalake: identify relevant data sources, collect data from internal and external systems, and ensure data quality and integrity

·       Provide guidance and support across all departments in developing their analytical skills

·       Promote and infuse data culture across all departments.

Missions

Under the responsibility of the Chief Data Science and Information officer, you will be responsible for:

Team Leadership:

·       Oversee the management of biostatistics/agronomics experts and consultants, ensuring their work aligns with project objectives and timelines.

·       Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the team.

·       Accountable for the delivery of the work from data analysts on time in full and with high quality standards.

·       Implementation of OKRs and KPIs tracking

·       Develop and implement support for engineers, scientists, technicians, and students on the use of equipment, experimental procedures, and biological data management.

·       Ensure efficient communication with peers and Project Management Office

·       Contribute proactively to Innovation and Research & Development projects

Data Analysis and Insights:

·       Oversee the analysis of complex data sets using advanced analytics techniques to derive valuable insights and trends.

·       Design and develop data visualization dashboards to empower scientists in extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets.

·       Interpret data findings and present actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, including executives and department heads.

·       Ensure data visualizations and reports are clear, concise, and effectively communicate key insights.

·       Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to understand data needs and align data initiatives with business objectives.

Business Intelligence and Reporting:

·       Collaborate with the different teams to design and maintain a robust business intelligence platform, enabling self-service analytics for business users.

·       Develop and deliver regular performance reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs and track business performance.

Profil

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE

·       Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Biostatistics, Data Science, Agricultural Statistics).

·       Proven expertise in designing and developing data visualization dashboards, preferably using Plotly.

·       Experience in leading teams focused on biostatistics and data intelligence, ideally in agricultural or related domains.

·       Proficiency in managing biostatistics/agronomics experts and consultants.

·       Experience in working with Agile/Scrum methods is appreciated.

·       Knowledge of FAIR data management.

·       Strong programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python or R.

·       Familiarity relational databases and proficiency in SQL.

·       Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English mandatory), especially to non-experts

·       Good organization skills and good optimization of the working environment.

·       Ability to manage multiple projects and overlapping deadlines.

·       Natural ability for problem-solving.
