We are recruiting a Green Coffee Business Developer who will carry our social and environmental commitment values and who will be able to convince roasters to adhere to Belco’s values and projects.
Under the responsibility of the Sales Director, you will be in charge of developing a portfolio of BtoB customers in Europe (roasters). You will implement the sales policy by working on complex offers requiring the development of tailor-made solutions adapted to the client's needs. In order to do this, you will need to have great knowledge and background in coffee: organoleptic specificities, their origins and their characteristics (agricultural, climate, etc.).
Promoting and selling high quality, traceable and sustainable coffees to roaster,
Managing, developing and retaining your customer portfolio,
Prospecting through customer visits or events (trade fairs, primeurs, training) to open and develop new customer accounts,
Supporting clients in their upgrading of their coffee range,
Advising clients on their development projects,
Monitoring the market and informing clients of news,
Updating knowledge of coffees, cupping, coffee files, new origins, etc.
Maintaining the execution of contracts and payments,
Analyzing performance by monitoring indicators and providing regular reports.
You have a business background and at least a 5 years experience in business development in Europe in the green coffee area or at least in agri-food business. You speak English fluently, ideally with a second language. You are comfortable working internationally and have the ability to manage a diversified portfolio. You are able to arbitrate prices and margins on futures market.
You have a sense of results and a taste for challenge. This is reflected in your personal investments (sporting activities, associative or humanitarian projects, etc.).
You will use your inventiveness to successfully complete your assignments, always in a team spirit and with mutual support. You are known for your excellent interpersonal skills. You are prepared to have a link with the operational side as well as more strategic thinking. Finally, your long-term business vision will enable you to excel in your role.
You have a strong corporate culture with a particular affinity for local products and gastronomy. You are able to integrate all the subtleties of a food product (production, sensory analysis, tasting, ranges, sourcing, etc.).
You are also interested in all subjects related to sustainability.
You will be required to travel for this position for approximately 10 to 15 weeks per year in Europe and in the producing countries.
