Missions
To support our business growth in South India, we are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer who can provide technical and application-based service support to our customers.
Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager / National Head of Application and Support
Location: Chennai
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Perform Instrument installations, service activities and preventive maintenance as required along with accompanying documentation and reports.
• Provide pre/post sales applications support such as product presentations, system configuration; applications optimization; troubleshooting.
• Perform product demonstrations at customer or company sites and delivers comprehensive technical training for customers and colleagues.
• Take ownership to resolve and/or escalate customer issues and complaints and provide ongoing onsite or remote technical support as per client requirements.
• Liaise with local vendors as required to deliver local accessories and assist in shipping of RMAs and replacements.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives to develop technical selling strategies and accompany them on customer calls.
• Attending trade-fairs, workshops where the Company participates; prepare and present seminars / webinars.
• Monitor the presence and activity of competitors and propose measures to boost the company activities.
• Prepare and submit reports on customer facing activities to the management in prescribed formats.
• Work in coordination with the team and actively participates in team meetings.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Profil
Requirements:
• Academic Qualification: MSc in Chemistry / Electrochemistry with Ph.D. from reputed Institute in the field of electrochemistry (Can be relaxed for candidate with relevant experience).
• Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Electrochemical industry in India in application and support
• Proficiency in the area of analytical instruments, preferably related to electrochemistry and battery testing.
• Experience in handling government tenders & managing seminars / workshops is preferred.
• Language: Fluency in both English and Tamil is mandatory
• Travel required – up to 75%
