In line with these values and as part of our ambitious development plan in Europe, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our business while leveraging our portfolio of natural solutions to the personal care industry in Europe.
Mission
Reporting directly to the Deputy CEO, your primary focus will be to develop and expand our business, particularly with personal care customers in Europe. This role may also extend to the food sector and other regions, such as Asia. Your key responsibilities will include:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Identify market needs, trends, and key success factors in the region, and translate these insights into actionable solutions and strategies for OLVEA’s success. Develop and implement a sales strategy to grow the customer base and drive sales, while supporting OLVEA’s global growth objectives.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management: Identify and approach new potential customers, analyze their needs and decision-making processes, and foster strong cross-functional relationships within their teams (R&D, sustainability, marketing, procurement, quality, etc.). Manage a portfolio of key accounts, build a robust project pipeline, and work collaboratively to convert opportunities into effective sales.
Team Collaboration and Sales Enablement: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Innovation teams to optimize go-to-market strategies. Support Account Managers in strengthening customer relationships and expanding OLVEA’s presence at R&D and marketing levels within key accounts.
Negotiation and Reporting: Develop competitive pricing offers, negotiate terms and conditions, and ensure accurate customer forecasts for the S&OP process. Use and maintain the CRM system (meeting reports, contacts) and provide regular sales updates.
Industry Representation and Growth Opportunities: Represent OLVEA at relevant regional trade shows to build brand visibility. Identify and develop partnerships or collaborations to enable business growth, expand the product portfolio, and drive new projects.
This role requires a combination of strategic vision, customer-centric focus, and operational execution to contribute to OLVEA’s continued success in the market.
This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Profil
Let's talk about you!
Graduated with a bachelor's degree, MSc, or from a business school, the ideal candidate has a proven track record in successfully developing new business opportunities for personal care ingredients within the personal care industry.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
A technical or scientific background in chemistry, cosmetic science, or biochemistry.
Several years of experience in a similar role or in sales, marketing, or technical support within the B2B sector.
You are creative, curious, detail-oriented, resourceful, adaptable, and pragmatic.
Independent in managing your work, you are flexible and accustomed to collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Fluent in English, you ideally have a good command of French, which would be a significant asset. Knowledge of another European language would also be an advantage.
You possess excellent interpersonal skills and have demonstrated a strong ability to drive business growth.
Your oral and written communication skills are outstanding, and a well-established network of industry connections would be an additional asset.
Compensation will be determined according to profile and experience.
