    Mission

    General Context

     The Materials team of the « High Voltage Cable Systems » programme is looking for a Materials R&D Project Manager following its new organisation. You will be part of a team of four people, engineers and technicians, and in collaboration with the other research programmes of the institute, you will participate in and guarantee the successful completion of French and European collaborative R&D projects and customer services relating to insulation materials for high voltage.

    You will also provide your methodologies and tools in project management and will contribute, in tandem with the manager, to the development of the team's R&D engineers.

     

    Objectives / Missions

    • You develop partnerships with the industrial network and roadmaps with academic partners.

    • With the Materials Team Leader, you will supervise and manage the programme's projects:

      • Ensure the follow-up of the projects assigned to you and provide support to the engineers

      • Identify the necessary resources, allocate responsibilities and define project objectives and schedules

      • Oversee the involvement of all stakeholders, ensuring Quality, Cost and Time are met

      • Participate in the continuous improvement of project execution methods and processes

    • You will also be involved in the activities of the Materials team (20-30% of your time):

    • Definition of test protocols and execution of tests.

    • Analysis of results, drafting of test reports, capitalisation of the various projects.

    • Contribution to the valorisation of R&D results (publication of scientific articles, participation in conferences).

    Profil

    Candidate Profile

     You have a Master’s/Engineering degree or a PhD in Materials. You have three years’ experience in project management and you wish to use your technical knowledge (materials) to fulfil your role as technical project manager.

    • Project management interfacing with industrial clients

    • Experience in polymer and composite materials for high voltage insulation is highly valued

    • Good written and spoken English

    • French spoken
