Intelligence Online is a daily newsletter published in English and French by Indigo Publications, a Paris-based independent press group founded by professional journalists in 1981.
Indigo Publications defends the values of editorial independence, intellectual rigour and fearless investigation.

Missions
Your role
Joining an editorial team reputed for its rigorous, investigation-led, exclusive-focused and independent editorial standards, you will produce articles for the ‘Government Intelligence’, ‘International Dealmaking’, ‘Corporate Intelligence’ and ‘Surveillance and Interception’ sections of our daily publication Intelligence Online.
Working for the editor in chief, you will keep abreast of developments in the world of intelligence, major geopolitical and geoeconomical movements affecting North America. You will also keep track of private contractors working for state interests (Defense, security, cyber, etc.).
You will already have a deep understanding of this field and will be able to draw on this to quickly become operational and build a diverse network of sources in these areas. You will also be given considerable autonomy in your choice of subject matter and how you wish to cover this.
Our readers are professionals: intelligence agencies, defence and security firms, embassies, corporate intelligence consultancies, policy makers for major corporations and so on.

Profil
What we are looking for
You must:
have at least three years professional experience in a similar role;
have a general understanding and interest in geopolitics and geo-economics as well as the activities and workings of state intelligence agencies.
If a native French speaker, you will be fluent in both written and spoken English. If a native English speak, a good grasp of French is preferable. Ability to speak a language in one of our areas of interest (eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, Middle East) would be an advantage.
You are excellent at building a rapport with others, have an appetite for investigative journalism, hunting down information and deciphering networks of influence. Your analytical and critical thinking allow you to understand how intelligence agencies and their technical providers operate.
Intelligence Online is a daily publication and this is a highly skilled position that requires an ability to take on a large workload, while producing consistent high-level content.
