Mission
General Context
To respond to the growth of our activities, the Power Electronics & Converters programme is looking for a Power Electronics and Controls R&D Engineer. Reporting to the Head of the Control Hardware and Software sub-programme, you will have the exciting opportunity to participate in the implementation of power converters of the future. We develop AC-DC and DC-DC converters, medium frequency transformers and high voltage power components.
In this context, you will carry out your activities in project mode, ensuring that safety, costs, deadlines and quality are respected, and you will coordinate the activities for which you are responsible with the R&D engineers of the other sub-programs, the Power Electronics Innovation and System engineer and the project manager.
Objectives / Missions
Develop the control software for power electronics converters: mainly rapid control prototyping (code generation from Simulink for Speedgoat machines), but also for microcontrollers (TI C2000 and STM32) and PLCs
Specify and perform HIL tests of the control (simulated system with OPAL-RT machines)
Carry out system and control studies for transport-related applications (railway / aeronautical)
Calculation of losses and thermal calculations
Preparation of the validation test program and execution of the tests.
Writing technical reports and reporting
Participate in conferences or communication events to present the results of R&D activities
Contribute to the valorisation/IP of R&D results
